Quick To Hear, Slow to Speak…

Byhltadmin07/01/2020
What are the Qualities that we need when we face trials and difficulties in our lives? Well, The Bible, in the New Testament book of James, tells us
19″So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift(quick) to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath(anger); 20 for the wrath(anger) of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore lay aside(put away) all filthiness and overflow(rampant) of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. (James 1:19-21NKJV)

The Word is simply stating that we should silence our tongue and listen. It can he so hard to do this, especially when we are going through frustrating situations in our lives and we search for a way to cope and find none. Therefore, we may conflict with and lash out at anyone who may think or resemble what we perceive to be a truth simply because they are different. This can very well lead to sinful acts, a definite act of unrighteousness and direct disobedience to GOD’s Word..

When we fail to listen and empathize with each other and make little or no attempt to “repair the breach”, it does great damage to our (spiritual and physical) bodies. On the other hand, when we learn to discipline ourselves to see and understand others’ views, the conflict(s) tend to resolve rather easily and quickly. Good listening helps to administer God’s love for others’ healing and strengthening. The result is their greater ability to live the life of righteousness.

We are the only “race” of people on this earth, that is, the “human race”. Each and every one of us has the same type of physical anatomy (male and female) and all perform the same functions. We are created in the image of GOD almighty and HE never separated anyone by a racial class.

Jeremiah 8:22(NKJV) says “Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?”
